Took Kodi and Cookie on a walk this morning. Had a nice time but the local neighborhood idiots who don't train their dog were out. Their rescue dogs tooks the agressive stance as usual and it is nothing new. I am trying to get Cookie ready for her CGC test and she is doing well.
Cookie is gaining more confidant in herself. She did the dog walk at Agility class last night and is more willing to go on the equipment.
I have been talking to people down in North Carolina about moving down there and buying a house. My husband think he is control of how we are going about it but at this point he has no control over what Sapphire and I do at this point. He will be up here with his nice house alone with whatever he want to do. I will be down in NC without someone telling me what to do and how I can live my life.
Bill is not a bad person but really has no clue how to treat another person on a personnel level. I can thank his dysfuntional family for that. He was raised by two selfish and self centered people who had idea how to treat a nice person with respect. The whole family is very bad. I can't say that I am perfect either.
I just try to do my best. I just get tired of being told what to do from day to day.
I sent my memberships into the local golden clubs. I will never let anyone else ever train my dogs again. Kodi has thyroid issues because of the abuse he got as a small pup. Cookie who is the same age is perfectly healthy. I will never shock my dogs. I never have and never will.
I get tired of the very good pro who thinks they know how to train a field dog. The only thing I see is a person shocking a dog to get it to go in a direction so they get those titles. The titles don't mean much when the person who is operating the button does so as a way to make shortcuts for proper training.
I am reading the new book put out by some people called positive training methods for sporting dogs.
What I have read is good. More shaping the behavior than shocking for the behaviors you want.
